Mithril Knight

Mithril Knight

Across Ghelspad, the four knightly orders of Corean (goldknights, iron knights, mithril knights, and silver knights) are beloved by the forces of good and feared by evil. Yet of these four, one stands out as a paragon of Corean’s courage and virtue. These are the mithril knights, bearers of the mithril blades, forged from the sacred metal of the Mithril Golem that once held Kadum the Mountainshaker immobile.

Deity:Mithril knights must worship Corean.

Mithril Sword:At 3rd level, a mithril knight receives a mithril longsword. This masterwork weapon also acts as a holy symbol for the paladin. If she loses this weapon, she must journey to the city of Mithril to receive a new one from her order, or she may forge a new one if she has enough mithril on hand. This ability replaces the mercy gained at 3rd level.

Holy Sword of Mithril (Su): At 5th level, a mithril knight must form a bond with her mithril longsword. As long as the sword and the knight are on the same plane of existence, she may summon her sword to her hand, as a swift action, by spending one use of her lay on hands ability. The mithril knight may add the following weapon properties instead of the usual properties for divine bond: brilliant energy, disruption, flaming, flaming burst, glorious, holy, keen, merciful, speed, and thundering. At 6th level, the sword permanently gains the impervious weapon property. Otherwise, except as noted above, this ability functions as the standard divine bond ability. This ability modifies divine bond and replaces the mercy gained at 6th level.

Heavenly Flame (Sp):At 14th level, by expending a use of her smite evil ability, the mithril knight may use flame strike as aspell-like ability at a caster level equal to her paladin level (save DC 10 + 1/2 her paladin level + her Charisma modifier). The mithril knight is immune to heavenly flame damage (whether from her own heavenly flame or that of another mithril knight). This ability replaces aura of faith.
